I grew up in Western Maryland and excelled in wrestling - in fact, as a senior, he won an eight-state championship tournament.
I graduated from high school in 1966, then enlisted in the US Army and did a tour of duty in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. He remembers it well. "The TET offensive was a time of real testing for any young soldier. By the grace of God I survived that struggle and came home a decorated combat soldier. I proudly served my country and gained a tremendous respect for the Vietnamese people." During the ‘70s I worked as a carpenter but found my niche with the computer industry. In 1972 I graduated in the top five of my class as a Computer Programmer. This propelled me through the ranks of business to become Vice President of a company owned by International Paper, a Fortune 50 company. After 20 years service, I purchased a franchise operation from General Nutrition Center and began investing in the Real Estate market. "We became one of the top three stores in Northern Virginia. In fact we were so successful that GNC Corporate Headquarters made us a buy back offer we could not refuse." Hence the move to Smith Mountain Lake and development of his new career - real estate. For me this is the "job of jobs." I put my personal knowledge and success in the real estate market to work for you. I help meet your needs before and after the sale. And, if you’re building your dream home, I know "dirt to shingles." and beyond. For me, it’s called dedication. Sandy and I were married on June 16 1967 having tied the knot one month prior to my leaving for Vietnam. "She was my high school sweetheart...still is" . We are the parents of a daughter Crystal and a son Trent. Crystal and husband Bill have given us two wonderful grandchildren Alex and Abbey who light up our lives.
